12:12 Beijing time on July 27th, 2022, the COSPOD-M Double 12U CubeSat Deployer independently developed by COSATS Co., Ltd. was launched from China's Jiuquan CubeSat Launch Center with the "Lijian-1" carrier rocket，and successfully sent the "Electromagnetic Assembly Test Double Star" developed by the Shanghai Micro CubeSat Engineering Center into the predetermined orbit. In addition, COSATS Co., Ltd. also has a number of CubeSat products for this mission. 

The Deployer used in this launch is the first double 12U deployer in the world, and it is also the largest CubeSat deployer in China at the present. It is designed as a memory alloy unlocking device with a small separation shock and can ensure the stability of the CubeSat's separation attitude.

As one of the key components, the deployer connects the carrier rocket with the CubeSat and undertakes the functions of reducing the vibration of the CubeSat during the launch, accurately releasing the CubeSat after reaching the predetermined orbit and outputting the separation signal to confirm the separation time. 

Currently, COSATS Co., Ltd. has developed two types of deployers for the in-orbit release of CubeSat. Among them, the COSPOD-M series is made of high-strength 7075 aluminum alloy, and the COSPOD-3D series is made of high-strength aluminum alloy 3D printing.

Xue Guoliang, CEO of COSATS Co., Ltd., said the configuration of the COSPOD deployer is flexible, and users can choose to install a multi-CubeSats deployment controller with their own power supply system, so that the rocket only needs to provide a small power separation level signal to realize the sequential deployment of one or more CubeSats, simplifying the interface between the carrier and the CubeSat deployer as much as possible.

In the International Standard of Cubesat released to the world by the California State University of Technology, the birthplace of Cube, Star Space participated in the formulation of the international standard of 12U deployer. This is the first time a Chinese team has contributed to the field, which is usually monopolized by European and American, Japanese space agencies and aerospace companies.
